I take the liberty of writing you on behalf of an applicant for the Hong Kong Police Force. The applicant applied about four months ago for an appointment in the same force, and received a reply to the effect that when vacancies occurred applications were invited through the medium of the press.
2. I beg to submit that should a vacancy occur the undermentioned might be favourably considered. As regards character and education he is in every way qualified for the position of constable in the H.K. Police Force.

Applicant is a compositor to trade, and has been employed with his present firm in Dundee since 1908. He served in the R. F. A., 1915 till discharged at the end of the war with a good character. Further particulars are as follows :-
